The Women’s Box Lacrosse Global network is proud to introduce the GEAR UP GIRLS Project.
This initiative is designed to support the growth of women’s box lacrosse globally by providing access to equipment, High quality coaching and development opportunities for both players and coaches. Our goal is empower young women around the world to participate in this exciting sport while strengthening local programs and building sustainable lacrosse communities.
What We Do

Through the Gear up Girls Project, WBLGN will:
Send 1-2 highly qualified coaches to your country.
Provide all necessary equipment for success
Deliver structured training to enhance skills, knowledge and program growth

1-2 Experienced box lacrosse coaches
“gear up” clinic equipment bags, including:
15 Kidney Pads
15 Bicep Pads
15 Shoulder Pads
15 Pairs of Gloves
15 Sticks
Helmets (upon request)
One Complete Player kit donated to your program
A 3-day player clinic, optional coaching clinic.

Assist in identifying grants and funding.
Support fundraising efforts.
Work collaboratively to reduce overall cost wherever possible.

Coaches will arrive one day prior to the clinic.
Clinics will run over three days.
Optional coaching development sessions can be arranged.

The host organization would be responsible for:
International and domestic travel costs for coaches
Accommodations and meals
An honorarium for visiting coaches (recommended)
Additionally, there will be an opportunity to purchase equipment brought by coaches at a reduced cost to further support your programs development.

WBOX Global Network is a non-profit organization supported through donations, sponsorships, and partnerships. These contributions help cover travel coordination, clinic gear packages, and access to experienced coaches, allowing us to provide high-quality opportunities for our athletes.

We source our coaches through our global network, identifying experienced and high-quality leaders in the game. Many of our WBOX ambassadors develop into coaching roles over time, creating a strong pipeline of knowledgeable and passionate coaches within our program.

Our clinic gear bags include the essential equipment needed to learn and play the game, and they typically travel with our program from country to country. If your Gear Up Girls program is fully sponsored, the equipment is left with the community to keep.

Running a WBOX clinic includes both equipment and coaching costs. A full Gear Up Girls equipment package is approximately $15,000 CAD and includes all necessary gear for participants. Coaching costs are approximately $5,000 per coach, including travel and program delivery.
The total cost to run a full program is approximately $25,000 CAD.
We collaborate with sponsors and partners to help make these programs accessible to communities around the world.

WBOX selects program locations through a combination of partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and community applications. We often work with local partners who help support the startup of a program, allowing us to expand into new regions around the world.
